The Area

Wells-next-the-Sea is located on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast, famous for the colourful beach huts perched above a sandy beach that stretches for miles. The beach is a bird watcher's paradise and a walker's delight.

The town has been a fishing port for centuries and retains much of its historical character & charm. Families that have holidayed here for decades continue to bring their children and grandchildren, introducing future generations to the delights of the town.

A miniature train runs regularly from the town down to the beach, and for the more active a leisurely mile-long walk along the harbour reaches the same destination. Boat trips depart from the quay, exploring the harbour, the beach and the salt marsh. Crabbing on the quay is a popular pastime.

Shops on the High Street sell fresh local produce, perfect for picnics or a delicious home-cooked dinner, and if you don't feel like cooking, there are gastro-pubs aplenty.

A warm welcome awaits you in Wells-next-the-Sea!
